A quick thought on "non violent protests"

With the 9 July BERSIH 2.0 rally in Malaysia gaining more momentum each day, it was serendipitous to get this quote (below) in the mail from the Sojourners blog

BTW Even googling "Bersih" shows the Bersih website as the number one hit.

"A non-violent protest of 4,000 people or more, even if they only march to a checkpoint or a settlement, and especially if the Palestinian police does not deter them, will be unstoppable. Such a great number of determined people cannot be stopped by tear gas and rubber bullets."

What am I saying? Nothing :-) Just that this quote was serendipitous and food for thought.
