Egypt's Sex-Slave Marriage

Very scary situation developing in Egypt. Glad though that a prominent Islamic scholar and professor is speaking out openly against this development Pray for Egypt! What is being dubbed as Egypt's "first sex-slave marriage" took place mere days after the Muslim Brotherhood's Muhammad Morsi was made president. Last Monday, on the Egyptian TV show Al Haqiqa ("the Truth"), journalist Wael al-Ibrashi began the program by airing a video-clip of a man, Abd al-Rauf Awn, "marrying" his "slave." Before making the woman, who had a non-Egyptian accent, repeat the Koran's  Surat al-Ikhlas  after him, instead of saying the customary "I marry myself to you," the woman said "I enslave myself to you,"...

Malaysian Muslims bring their debate to NZ?

Interesting, the UMNO sanctioned "obedient wives club"  wants to start a branch in NZ. Hope the Sisters in Islam gain more ground.  On the obedient wives club, go HERE  and HERE and HERE (Last link is the best) See report from NZ Herald below    Burqa an affront to human dignity say Muslim women By  Lincoln Tan 5:30 AM Thursday Jul 21, 2011 A Muslim women's group is expected to tell a public forum tonight that the burqa is not a requirement in Islam and it is "an affront to human dignity" for women to be forced to wear it. This month, a Saudi Arabian student was left crying on an Auckland street when a bus driver refused to let her board because she was wearing a Muslim veil, which she refused to remove. This brought a call from Prime Minister John Key for New Zealanders to respect the beliefs of others, and for women not to be discriminated against because they wear the burqa. But the Sisters in Islam say Islam has now laws making wearing ...

NZ women promiscuous, says doctor (NZ Herald)

I wonder why the reporter had to add this line ... "Dr Makary, a 52-year-old Christian originally from Egypt," NZ women promiscuous, says doctor A Timaru gynaecologist wants a campaign against promiscuity after encountering a shocking number of pregnant patients who cannot remember whom they had sex with. Dr Albert Makary, who has been in Timaru for 20 years, called on national leaders, sports stars, schools and the media at a Forum on the Family in Auckland yesterday to "stigmatise" both promiscuity and the binge drinking that usually preceded it. He cited a survey by a condom maker that said New Zealand women were the most promiscuous in the world, with 20.3 sexual partners on average. The world average was 7.3. Kiwi men were also above average with 16.8 partners. New Zealand was the only country where women had more sexual partners than men. Dr Makary, a 52-year-old Christian originally from Egypt, said he was "an eyewitness of the pain" that promiscuit...

Will obedience wives club one day lead to sex slaves?

Perak Mufti supports the "obedient wives club" The Star) - Perak mufti  Tan Sri Harussani Zakaria  has given his backing to the Obedient Wives Club, which offers “sex lessons” to help women keep their husbands. Harussani, who recently banned the poco poco dance in Perak, said women needed to be reminded of their roles and responsibilities to their husbands. “The younger generation is too absorbed in cultures that are not their own. Wives must be very obedient to their husbands. “However, in Islam, the wife can go against her husband if what he does is not according to the religion,” he said, calling for more such clubs to be set up throughout the country as a way to counter social ills. He was responding to a statement by club vice- president Dr Rohaya Mohamad that a husband who was kept happy in the bedroom would have no reason to stray, seek out prostitutes or indulge in other social vices. The club had also offered sex lessons to help wives “serve their husbands better...

Sex slaves may be working in NZ, officials say

Not the nicest piece of news to read. But at least NZ officials are not "denying" the potential problem. Really sad that this is still happening around the world. Terrible to read that Malaysia supplies in this sex slaves trade. Sex slaves may be working in NZ, officials say http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10565125&pnum=0 4:00AM Saturday Apr 04, 2009 By Jared Savage Fear of reprisals can stop victims from speaking up. Immigration officials admit that women could be working undetected as sex slaves in New Zealand, despite previous assurances that there is no evidence of a problem. The Cabinet will be asked to set up a taskforce involving seven Government departments to stop human trafficking in this country. The action plan follows criticism in United States intelligence reports, which name New Zealand as a destination for traffickers from Malaysia, Hong Kong, China and other Asian countries. Police and advocates for...
